Goal 1: Students will demonstrate clinical competence when performing radiological procedures. 

Outcomes for Goal 1: 

1.1 Students will demonstrate the ability to image the desired anatomy.

1.2 Students will demonstrate the understanding of precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and others. 

 

Goal 2: Students will communicate effectively with patients, health care team and others with sensitivity to age, gender and cultural diversity.

Outcomes for Goal 2:

2.1 Students will demonstrate oral communication skills with patients, peers and others of the healthcare team.

2.2 Students will demonstrate the ability to communicate through written correspondence pertaining to healthcare. 

 

Goal 3: The student will demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to provide safe, high quality patient care.

Outcomes for Goal 3:

3.1 Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills when performing pediatric examinations.

3.2 Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills when adapting standard procedures to trauma patients.

 

Goal 4: The student will graduate and be prepared for employment as a competent entry-level Radiologic Technologist.

Outcomes for Goal 4:

4.1 Graduate and be qualified to enter the field of Radiologic Technology.

4.2 Perform as entry level practitioners as rated by employer satisfaction surveys.

4.3 Participate as entry level practitioners as rated by alumni satisfaction surveys.
