Moorpark College is excited to welcome families and friends of students participating in our 2020 Graduation ceremony! This page is intended to provide important information for guests regarding parking, directions, restrictions, special accommodations, and other topics. Any questions that are not answered on this page can be directed to MC Student Activities Office at +1 (805) 378-1434.

Ceremony information

Moorpark College's 2020 graduation ceremony will take place on Friday, May 15 at 5:00 p.m. in the Upper Campus Stage Quad. The ceremony location can be seen on this MC campus map. You can also view the ceremony site on Google maps here.

There is no limit to the number of guests a graduating student may invite, but we do urge families and friends to arrive early to secure the best seating possible. There will be designated photo areas for guests to take pictures of their students, but guests may not stand in any areas that obstruct others' views.

Parking information

Parking on campus is free for the day, and we invite your guests to park in any student or guest parking lots. We recommend guests try to park in any of the upper-campus parking lots, such as Lot C, Lot B, Lot D, Lot E, or Lot A. Other parking lots on campus will be accessible but will require a significant walk up the hill to the ceremony site. More information about parking lots is available on the Upper Campus Map.

Accessible seating

Moorpark College strives to provide wheelchair and companion seating to guests with disabilities. However, please note that seating for the graduation ceremony is available on a first come, first serve basis and is subject to availability. We recommend arriving well in advance of the ceremony to ensure a larger selection of seating options. Volunteer ushers will be available the day of the event to assist with any other matters.

Students or guests cannot bring firearms, fireworks, or loud noise-makers to the ceremony. Balloons are permitted, though we ask that guests carrying balloons be considerate of the other guests around them and not obstruct their vision.

Only service animals specifically trained to assist a person with a disability are permitted on campus during the MC Graduation ceremony.
