Elections for the ASMC Board of Directors are held every April for the following school year. Visit the ASMC Elections page for more information.

All students applying as candidates must meet the following criteria at the time of application and once elected:

  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 5 units at Moorpark College;
  • Have and maintain a cumulative and semester grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher;
  • Be at least 18 years of age prior to assuming office (June 1st of the year they are running)

Elected student offers serve a one-year term of office from June 1st to May 31st. Students should expect to dedicate at least 10 hours/week to ASMC, including the weekly Board of Directors meetings.

ASMC Delegates

ASMC appoints Delegates as needed to help fulfill their mission of advocacy and student engagement. Delegate positions are a great way to get familiar with the Associated Students without having to make the same level of commitment. Sample responsibilities of Delegates include serving on Moorpark College shared governance committees (click here to see a list of some of the committees or work groups Delegates can serve on) or assisting with event or project implementation. Other ways to get involved

We are glad you're interested in participating in student government at Moorpark College, but we want you to know that there are definitely other ways to get involved! ASMC wants your ideas and input on what does or does not work for you as a student at Moorpark College. ASMC urges you to participate in clubs, events, ASMC committee or Board meetings, or MC campus-wide committees, and tell us what changes you want to see.
